Once your balance certain 0, call your company of credit card to verify it that the balance is 0 and notify which will be close the account to them. Be aware there are lot credit card companies take this opportunity to make some deal that will entice you to stay use their credit. Sometimes their offering good enough to make you stay with them (such as free electronics devices, small home appliance and much more). If you are sure to cancel your card then just go to phone call with letter of confirmation (sent it through snail mail) again to state that you really intend to terminate your account.
